Our Chief Pilot, Jason Damman, is a certified flight instructor (CFI) and holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate and FAA Part 107 drone license. He is a subject matter expert in national airspace and FAA regulations through his 20 years of experience as an airline pilot and 7 years of V1DroneMedia commercial drone operations.
Jason teaches regularly scheduled Part 107 Drone License Prep Classes, Hands-On Drone Operations, and Flight Training, as well as custom and on-demand courses to individuals and groups, and travels locally and nationally to bring Basic Public Safety Drone Training to Police, Fire, and other Public Safety agencies. He is also one of the founders of the North Coast Drone Alliance and is on the Cleveland FAAST Team.

Introduction to Drones class
This Introduction to Drones class, taught by an expert airline and drone pilot who is a drone services business owner, Jason Damman, will give you all the information you need to start flying drones in a safe and legal manner. The class will also provide an overview of drone career paths and what you need to do to get started. The class will include drone demonstrations outside, weather permitting. You can bring your own drone if you have one, and there will be one on-site.
This class is ideal for an aspiring drone enthusiast, hobbyist, or someone interested in robotics, drones, or technology-related careers.

Part 107 Drone License Prep Course
Drones, or Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), have many applications in the following business sectors: photography, film & TV, marketing and advertising, agriculture, architecture and construction, conservation, delivery, emergency services, engineering, environmental monitoring, and homeland security. This 2-day prep course will prepare all participants to sit for the FAA Part 107 Certification exam.
The cost of the exam is not included in the course fee.

Drone Operations Group Class
This 6-hour group class is geared toward anyone who is interested in learning how to operate drones and consists of 2 parts: an in-class overview and outdoor drone flight instruction.
The in-class portion will cover:
· Basic principles of flying - Pitch and Roll, Thrust and Yaw
· Drone Maintenance (batteries, storage, etc.)
· Drone Calibrations
· Flight App Settings
· Camera Settings (Photo/Video)
· Using Third-Party Apps
· Creating Automated Flight Paths
· Safety in Operations: Pre and Post-Flight Checklists, etc.
· Intelligent Flight Modes
The outdoor portion with guided hands-on experience:
· Pre-flight inspections, drone calibrations
· App settings and Battery monitoring techniques
· Take-offs and landings (manual and auto modes)
· Basic flight maneuvers (various patterns)
· Advanced flight maneuvers
· Using Intelligent flight modes
· Using Pre-planned Flights to Conduct a Mission
